Q: What does the "Puritan Pick" banner found on some DVDs mean?

The DVDs with the "Puritan Pick" banner specify that we or someone we trust has reviewed that particular DVD and that we feel it exhibits exceptional qualities in doctrine as well as in production quality. Simply put, we recommend it. This does not mean that other DVDs do not meet our standards but that these "Puritan Picks" are exceptional in some way or another- we really liked them.

In the case of debates, children's DVDs or movies the "Puritan Pick" banner signifies recommended DVDs for those interested in those particular topics.

Q: Why don't you carry this "certain" Christian DVD?

It is possible we just haven't heard of it. Please make use of our contact form and send us suggestions for DVDs.

We also filter our DVDs for biblical accuracy. There are many authors who produce DVDs that are contrary to sound doctrine. We will never carry these.

We are more flexible with DVDs geared towards entertainment so long as it is not contrary to sound doctrine. Entertaining movies that do not reflect a secularized post-modern culture will receive our accolades in the form of a featured "Puritan Pick".

Q: What do you consider sound doctrine?

Our doctrinal standards are the bible. Since that statement is meaningless in a world where many cults, heretics and modernistic churches also claim to hold to the bible; we also hold to the confessions of faith cherished by the Puritans and produced by the historic protestant church. Of these include primarily the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Q: Why didn't I get the first item on my queue?

While we do have multiple copies of each DVD there may be times when the demand of a particular DVD is higher than our current supply. In these cases we will send the next available item on your queue. When the previous item becomes available again we will prioritize your request and send it to you.

We try to avoid situations like this as much as possible by taking note of high-demand DVDs and adjusting inventory appropriately.
